Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in Middle East Q3 2022

Throughout Q3 2022, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in the Middle East on the Android platform demonstrated diverse trends in downloads and active users, as per data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence, with weekly downloads fluctuating between approximately 26K and 35K. The highest number of downloads was seen in the week of July 4, reaching around 35K. Weekly active users remained robust, ranging from 686K to 715K throughout the quarter.

Careem – rides, food & more showed a steady performance in downloads, beginning the quarter with around 22K and ending with a peak of 24K in the final week of September. Active users saw a slight decline from 284K at the start of the quarter to approximately 253K by the end of September.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced consistent download numbers, ranging from 14K to 19K weekly. The peak occurred in mid-July with 19K downloads. Active users for Bolt showed a gradual increase, starting from 56K and peaking at around 62K in the last week of September.

Jeeny - جيني had varied download trends, starting the quarter at approximately 11K and fluctuating down to 6K before climbing back to 8K to 10K towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 33K to 39K.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a significant decrease in downloads, starting at around 7K and dropping to 5K by the end of September. However, active users saw a steady increase from 64K to 81K over the quarter.
